This book visually maps snow precipitation in Providence, Rhode Island from September 2010 to August 2012. A semicircle is a visual constant used to help represent this data, and drops of water added to the semicircles show the amount of snowfall for each month. The more snow in a month, the more water added and the larger the faded area becomes. The same months from each year are displayed across opposite pages on the same spread for comparison. The data for this map is from the National Climatic Data Center.
